Changelog

This page lists the changes to the GPT-Video API that matter to your code, and says how we handle versions.

Versions

The API version is in the path. Today every call goes to /v1.

The API is in beta. Every operation is marked Beta on its page. It is supported and can gain new fields. If a change would break your code, we tell you before it takes effect and list it on this page.

These changes can happen at any time. They do not break a program that ignores fields and values it does not know.

  • A new operation.
  • A new optional parameter.
  • A new field in a response.
  • A new value in a field that lists values, for example a new kind of job.
  • A new error code.

Write your code so that it ignores fields it does not know, and so that it handles a value it has not seen before.

These changes break code, and they get an entry here before they take effect.

  • Removing or renaming a field, a parameter or an operation.
  • Changing the type of a field.
  • Removing an error code.
  • Making an optional parameter required.

When an operation leaves beta, a change that breaks clients will not be made on /v1. It will be made on a new version in the path.

Entries are listed with the newest first. Each one gives the date, what changed and what you need to do. There are no entries yet.
