Why they are free

Why these cost nothing

Each tool does its work inside your browser, with the video engine your computer already has. Nothing is uploaded, so there is no server to pay for, no queue to wait in and nothing for us to meter.

That is also why there is no account and no watermark: there is nothing to recover from you. The real ceiling is your device: very large files are limited by its memory. The one cap of ours is the GIF maker's 20 seconds, because a longer GIF gets too heavy to share.

They exist because the mechanical half of editing should be free. The half that takes judgment, finding the moments worth posting, writing the captions, reframing on the speaker's face, is what GPT-Video is for.

FAQ

Before you drop a file

Are these video tools really free?

Yes. There is no trial, no plan and no daily allowance. The processing happens on your computer or phone, so a conversion costs us nothing to serve and there is nothing to charge for.

Are my videos uploaded to a server?

No. Each tool reads your file inside the browser tab and writes the result there too. The page downloads the tool's own code when you use it, and some tools fetch an encoder the first time they need one, but your video is never part of any request.

Do the tools add a watermark?

No. The files you download contain your footage and nothing else. The only trace of us is the file name, which you can change.

Is there a limit on file size or length?

We set no limit on file size. The one length cap is the GIF maker's 20 seconds, because a GIF stores every frame as a full picture and grows fast. Beyond that, very large files are limited by your device's memory. The tools need a browser with WebCodecs: Chrome or Edge 94+, Safari 16.4+ (26+ for full audio support), or Firefox 130+ on desktop.

What's the catch?

There isn't one hidden in the tools. They do the mechanical half of editing. The other half, finding the clips in a long video, writing captions and reframing on faces, is what GPT-Video does, and that part is a paid product.

The half that needs judgment

Upload a long video to GPT-Video and describe the clips you want: it finds the moments, captions them and reframes them for the vertical feed.
